These little houses are decoupaged with vintage French stamps, most of which appear to be 50+ years old, based on the cancel stampings. They even have stamp chimneys, and if they had windows, maybe you could see stamp fireplaces with stamp roaring fires. These are part of a larger project that I plan to finish by this weekend.
Update for 4/15/08:
A few sets of similar stamp houses are now available in my etsy shop.

Oh, Heather, I love these…! I’m going to send a link to the designer I work with at the USPS along with other friends.
Thanks for the earlier article about my Christmas knit stamps. I had a lot of fun doing them and thinking of the knitters out there who were getting vicarious recognition for all their hard work on homemade Christmas presents.
I was sent here by a stamp person, now I’m going to have to investigate all your crafts. Beautiful work..!

Thanks, Nancy! Now I’m thinking it would be cute to do those houses in Christmas stamps….

Those are great! What will the finished project be? I can’t wait to see. This is a cute idea and I have some stamps I could use for my own little houses. Thanks for such a great idea.
