Velvet pumpkins and acorns

These went in the mail today for a lady in Seattle. The pumpkins were a special request–I hadn’t made velvet pumpkins before, just this kind, and had a hard time sourcing the fabric, actually. This stuff is a muted orange with a faint swirl pattern in it, and given the intended project, it especially made me think of the iconic curlicue hill in The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I like how the velveteen pumpkins turned out. I hope the woman who ordered loves them. Maybe enough to make them real.
